The Environmental Fate Department is a new department which has experienced significant growth. The department carries out studies on Agrochemicals, Pharmaceuticals and Chemicals to ensure their safety to the environment. Applications are invited from practical scientists with experience of Environmental Fate studies. The successful candidate will work in an established team and provide scientific and technical leadership. As Study Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for the management, timely reporting and conduct of regulatory Environmental Fate and Metabolism studies with a wide range of substances. Experience of conducting studies with radiolabelled materials would be essential. You will possess a sound work ethic, strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to work under pressure and cope with changing demands. In order to succeed in the role you will need to develop and maintain relationships with study sponsors, which will necessitate a current awareness of environmental and regulatory issues. The successful candidate will be educated to degree level in Chemistry (or equivalent) with previous experience as a Study Director, preferably in a contract research organisation. You will be able to demonstrate hands on practical experience of study conduct.
