Position Title:

Laboratory Technician

Job Description:

Conditions - Type of position: Full Time

We are looking to recruit a Laboratory Technician within the busy Test Material Control department.  This is the section that handles all chemicals that are received and despatched from site, as well as dealing with COSHH regulations and the transport of dangerous goods.

For this role you will be expected to have a scientific background and be able to interpret test material data sheets.  You will be required to handle chemicals under laboratory conditions, ensuring you adhere at all times to Good Laboratory Practice.

You will have scientific qualifications, preferably Chemistry and ideally will have experience of working in a laboratory.  You will need to have a high attention to detail and be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.  Due to the nature of the position good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team are essential.  A good working knowledge of computers should also be demonstrated.

There will be an opportunity to join the employer contribution pension scheme.

Position Title:

Analyst

Job Description:

Conditions - Type of position: Full Time

The Analytical Services department is looking for an experienced Analyst with expertise of the following instrumentation: LC-MS, LC-MS/MS,HPLC,GC and GC-MS.  The ideal candidate will have significant experience in method development and validation and trace level quantification of analytes from environmental and biological samples such as water, soil, biological fluids/tissues.  A good understanding of GLP would be advantageous but not essential.

Position Title:

Credit Controller

Job Description:

Conditions - Type of position: Full Time

A vacancy has arisen for a Full Time Credit Controller reporting to the Company Accountant.  Candidates will have previous credit control experience.

Duties will include:- Managing a ledger of 300+ live accounts, responsibility for the regular chasing of overdue invoices by phone and email, maintaining accurate records of each contract, cash allocation, ad-hoc tasks within the accounts department.

Position Title:

Study Director

Job Description:

Conditions - Type of position: Full Time

The Environmental Fate Department is a new department which has experienced significant growth.  The department carries out studies on Agrochemicals, Pharmaceuticals and Chemicals to ensure their safety to the environment.  Applications are invited from practical scientists with experience of Environmental Fate studies.  The successful candidate will work in an established team and provide scientific and technical leadership.

As Study Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for the management, timely reporting and conduct of regulatory Environmental Fate and Metabolism studies with a wide range of substances.  Experience of conducting studies with radiolabelled materials would be essential.  You will possess a sound work ethic, strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to work under pressure and cope with changing demands.  In order to succeed in the role you will need to develop and maintain relationships with study sponsors, which will necessitate a current awareness of environmental and regulatory issues.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level in Chemistry (or equivalent) with previous experience as a Study Director, preferably in a contract research organisation.  You will be able to demonstrate hands on practical experience of study conduct.
