In
vitro:
Laboratory based tests that do not require the use of live
animals or tissues taken from animals
Ex vivo:
Tests that use cells or tissues derived from animals
Validation:
The process by which relevance and reliability of a test method
is demonstrated
All tests are conducted in a GLP accredited laboratory
in our facility. Before adoption as a routine test
for prediction of toxicological endpoints, all test methods
are firstly subjected to 'in-house' validation. Regulatory
approved tests will also have undergone formal validation
in multi-centre trials, some of which have involved SPL.
